For the last few weeks I’ve been amongst the pots; mid century pots to be precise; I have visited a potter who would throw 250 pots a day at Milton Head Pottery.
I’ve had a masterclass in the mind set of young post war craftsmen.
Hubert (Nibs) Dalwood spent time sculpting in the workshop
I’ve collected the photographic archive of Milton Head Pottery;
I’ve been contacted, spoken to and met son and daughters, including my sisters.
I’m about to plan a Brixham based exhibition of what you never knew you had on your doorstep; it’s not all fish and farmers. The mid century craft revival
stopped in Brixham for a while.
(Picasso’s pots influenced my dad’s studio pots)
This exhibition will commemorate this little workshop and will display outstanding examples of Milton Head pottery.
If you have information or photographs relating to Milton Head Pottery between 1950 – 1959, please contact me through my website

Wonderful, wonderful pots, designs and paintings. Really intrigued to see the exhibition, is there any news on when it will be?

Hi Hel
I’m having a bit of trouble organising the exhibition because I have a venue who haven’t got back to me and another opportunity that may be ages away. I’ll be on it now so will let you know when-
Glad you like the various sites. I’m working on a series called “Stations of the Cross” at the moment. I’ll update through my blog. I’m on Facebook under Becky’s Art-it’s a public page so you shouldn’t need to sign up xx

Will look forward to the Milton Head exhibition too, as and when xx

Hi Hel
Exhibition should be July at Brixham Library; if there is a launch I’ll let you know the date. They have agreed to hold it; just waiting for month confirmation. Thanks for looking at my FB page and the Milton Head one; don’t forget to “like” ! xx
